Who are we?

5ta SARoCO – Hacienda Cultural, Biocultural y Agroecoturística is a different way to discover Colombia: a living territory in the Andes, where travelers can come into direct contact with nature, biodiversity, campesino culture, gastronomy, coffee and the stories of those who live in and conserve this territory.

Located in Silvania, Cundinamarca, in the setting of the sub-Andean forests of the La Victoria river, our offering brings together nature tourism, conservation, culture, gastronomy, agroecology and education to create authentic, small-scale experiences, far from the conventional tourist circuits.

We offer rural lodging, birdwatching, forest walks, farm and coffee experiences, local gastronomy, workshops and activities that connect you with nature and Colombian rural life. These experiences are designed for travelers who want to get to know the country beyond its traditional destinations and take home a deeper understanding of Colombia.

What makes us different is that the territory is not merely the setting for our tourism activity: it is the heart of our product. 5ta SARoCO is linked to a territory of more than 1,200 hectares of protected forests, where restoration processes have been carried out with more than 150,000 individuals planted, along with water protection, environmental education and the strengthening of rural communities.

Here, travelers do not come only to contemplate nature. They come to discover how a Colombian territory is lived in, farmed, conserved and transformed. They can walk through the forest, learn about its species, taste local products and gastronomy, get close to campesino culture and understand that behind every landscape there is a story of conservation and community work.
